knotes is almost ready: Blogging and Discussion for Plone
knotes is our new web-logging and discussion plug-in product for Plone sites. As of November 26, 2004, it is very nearly ready for public beta release. It is quite feature-complete already, with very rich support for weblogging API clients, so you do not need to use web-based forms to manage your knotes blogs.
We have started writing documentation about knotes, which you can read here.
We are already running weblogs and discussions in this site with it now if you want to see it in action. Examples can be seen at Graham Attwell's weblog and at the fast-forums-view of this discussion document (click the folder-icons at the left to expand/collapse threads and subcontent; click the little arrows just to the left of the titles to show/hide details and tools for participating in the discussion). Note in particular that there are trackback-generated links between these discussions and weblogs.
